by Sara Bell
One day young Justin Bell came home and told his family that he had joined the basketball team. While his proud mother Sara promised to only attend one game, she soon had to break her word as she became addicted to the spirited play and enthusiastic antics of her son and his team.
Basketball Saturday tells the story of Justin’s winning season through both words and pictures. The verse echoes with maternal pride as the photographs show the fun and excitement shared by the children.
Sara Bell’s Basketball Saturday is a book full of as much pep, vigor, and excitement as Justin’s real season, and it is sure to have readers everywhere rooting for these young heroes.
