Edge is a native and long-time resident of Texas, where he lives with his wife Diane. He has three children, Dusty and Ashlee Zimmerman, and Chris Edge. The author is a graduate of The University of Texas, Permian Basin, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, from which he received a master of arts degree in Christian education. He currently works as a public school teacher and as a minister at Beulah Baptist Church, and he also enjoys time reading and playing tennis.
