Paprika and the Best Tasting Birthday Cookies is a tale about a friend who teaches children various math concepts such as counting up to ten, spelling numbers, recognizing real-world fractions, the concept of multiplication, vocabulary terms, healthy choices, and other concepts mentioned in the caregiver letter included at the end of the story.

About the Author:

Denise H. Parker was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. As a child, she loved to visit the countryside, where she could go outside and play sports, grow plants, etc. She also enjoyed watching cartoons, which sparked her imagination. Denise became interested in writing and excelled at it. In college, she helped edit her peers term papers and later studied to earn a Masters Degree in Education.

About the Illustrator:

T. Parker was born and raised in Jamaica, Queens. As a young child, his grandmother was his best friend and she encouraged him to pursue his dreams. Among many other achievements, he is the first person in his family to attend and graduate from college. He has earned dual degrees in Screenwriting and Acting, as well as Animation.
