A Soul Returned

Many say love hurts, but where is the line between love and pain? Abuse in any form, whether it’s sexual, physical, financial, or emotional, should never be tolerated, though many men and women struggle to regain control of their lives after they’ve been victims of abuse at the hands of those they love.

A Soul Returned, by Kimberly McCrear, tells the stories of four women who have been affected by domestic violence. Through their struggles, each woman learns it is possible to be healed through loving herself and giving her life to the Lord. Although the journey to better self-esteem is long and difficult, each woman finds the strength to triumph, making her an inspiration to all those who have been abused.

A native of Jamaica, New York, Kimberly McCrear is a kindergarten teacher who has lived in Lilburn, Georgia since 1995. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Communication, a master’s degree in Reading and Literacy, and an endorsement in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Kimberly has two children: William and Patrick. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, reflexology, and hiking.
